Why sticky sublimation paper dry slower than regular paper ?
Sticky sublimation paper is different from regular sublimation paper , because it has a tackified coating, which will be activated by heat during transfer , and will adhere to the textile to prevent the transfer result from ghosting , especially used on flat press.
Most of the customers have met this kind of problem . That the sticky sublimation paper dries slower than regular paper, even though the sticky paper is quick-dry type too. This doesn’t mean the sticky paper has quality problem , actually it is related with the tackified coating .
The tackified sublimation coating , is mostly made up of high molecula polymer , this type of material is water-based , unlike the regular paper doesn’t have water-based high polymer in the coating , so the drying time of sticky paper will be longer than the regular paper .
